After 24 years we will be closing the shop December 20

• ON August 4 2017 you printed an article regarding me and my shop, Holders in Malden Road, (Pining for the past).

I would like to say thanks to John Gulliver, and the New Journal as with their help I managed another year in my shop.

After 24 years in Malden Road it has now, sadly, come to an end as Holders Fine Furniture will close our doors for the last time on December 20.

We have been extremely busy over the last year designing some beautiful “industrial style” pieces from reclaimed timber and gaining a good following on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

We would sincerely would have loved to carry on, but have been struggling with competition from online businesses, Camden’s lack of parking control (in this area) and a looming rent increase.

Over the last 24 years here we have made some great friends and had some fantastic customers. When I’m working outside, I must say hello to at least 20 people and will truly miss the atmosphere of Malden Road.

Thank you to everyone who has visited us since 1994.
