A HUNT is underway for opportunist thieves who stole from ambulance crew members as they helped a heart attack patient into a hospital emergency department.
Blue light paramedics had brought the patient to the Royal Free in Hampstead, but after assisting them into the hospital in Pond Street, they returned to their vehicle to find their own belongings had taken.
It is not clear whether any CCTV footage of the incident is available, although an appeal for help identifying the thief – or thieves – has been circulated.
The Ambulance Service said anybody with information about the incident last Monday should contact police, describing the theft as “unacceptable”.
