De Gea is the hero for Jose Mourinho's men

ARSENAL 1 (Lacazette 47)
MANCHESTER UNITED 3 (Valencia 4, Lingard 11, 63)
ARSENE Wenger was left “angry and disappointed” after defensive blunders gift-wrapped three points to Manchester United.
Early goals from Antonio Valencia and Jessie Lingard left the Gunners with a mountain to climb.
They mustered an impressive fightback that forced David De Gea into 14 saves – a record for any goalkeeper in the Premier League.
After the match, Wenger said: “I am angry and disappointed because we produced a great performance but have nothing. We were not efficient enough. 33 shots in a game of this stature? That is unusual. I am sad for the players though because they showed great spirit.”
Arsenal’s attacking onslaught could be compared to a boxer slugging away repeatedly at the body, but failing to make any headway. Countless shots were fired either too close to the keeper, high or wide. In truth, the majority of De Gea’s saves were made comfortably.
His save of the match was pawing a low Lacazette drive off the line from behind him, but he should have been left him no chance in the first place.
Lacazette did finally pull one back on 47 minutes. Aaron Ramsey time his run perfectly and leapt well to catch an arcing through ball from Alexis Sanchez. He had the presence of mind to tap it back to Lacazette who smashed it in. Hopes of a comeback were ended when Lingard passed into an empty net after a counter, despite the influential Paul Pogba getting sent off for a stamping lunge on Bellerin.
There were big shouts for a penalty when Danny Welbeck went down in the box and after Wenger said “I hope the same we will see at Old Trafford”, adding: “Last night I was watching Napoli Juventus on the TV, watch that game you will see the difference there to here – that is a top class referee.”
Jose Mourinho described the match as “fantastic for any fan”.
