ARSENAL fans fear they won’t get the chance to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang play live for the club again as rumours about an Emirates exit escalate.
Talks surrounding “Project Restart” – the Premier League’s plan to get football in England back underway next month – are ongoing.
If it does return it will be behind closed doors, meaning that by the time fans are allowed back in stadiums, Aubameyang could be long gone.
The Gunners’ skipper is out of contract next summer, and has revealed a promise he made to his late grandfather that will concern fans.
He said: “Before he died two years ago I promised him that one day I would play for Real Madrid. My grandfather was from Avila, not far from Madrid. It’s what I said to him. I know it’s not easy but it’s something I keep in mind.”
