Bach, the Universe and Everything: The Creativity Code with Professor Marcus du Sautoy

20 November, 2019

Popular mathematician Professor Marcus du Sautoy joins the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE) for its questioning landmark science and music series Bach, the Universe and Everything on Sunday 1 December, 11.30am at Kings Place, London, and the University of Oxford at 5.30pm. He’ll talk about his latest book The Creativity Code: How AI is Learning to Write, Paint and Think and explore the possibility that artificial intelligence could one day write music like Bach. In the meantime the OAE will perform one of the composer’s sublime cantatas!

Like an alternative Sunday Service, Bach, the Universe and Everything asks big questions about the world around us. The ‘congregation’ is invited to join in singing Bach’s music and there’s a chance to mingle and discuss with players and speakers after the event.
