Bringing support to life – charity ScotsCare launches short films collection

04 December, 2020

LONDON charity ScotsCare has launched a range of short films, bringing to life the different ways their services improve the lives of clients. From advocacy to sheltered housing, counselling, training, and financial grants, clients talk about what it was really like experiencing specialised ScotsCare support, and how it helped them overcome individual challenges and move forward in their lives.

The charity, that supports disadvantaged Scots in London through a range of financial, practical and emotional support to help break the cycle of poverty, has also launched a longer ‘Signature Film’, featuring their Choir composed of clients, which gives an overview of the charity and its mission. With the launch of the films the charity aims to raise awareness of its support and ultimately reach and support more Scots in the capital.

ScotsCare Chief Executive Shona Fleming said: “I’m excited for people to see the series of films because they showcase the range of services we offer and raise awareness of the multi-faceted ways that we can change lives. The added pressure of the Coronavirus crisis means that our support is needed more than ever, and these films will hopefully result in more people getting in touch and receiving the support they need.”

Alongside this the charity has also launched a new website, improving the online application experience for clients with the aim that this will increase the number of clients it supports through the crisis.

The films are available on our website, YouTube channel and will be posted regularly on our social media channels throughout the autumn.
