Murder charge after death of man at Camden Town slots casino

A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder after the death of a man in a Camden Town slots casino on Tuesday night.
Abel Mery Berhany, in Waltham Forest, is accused of killing 56-year-old Abraham Haile at City Slots in Camden High Street.
Police were called to the slots machine casino just after 10pm after receiving reports of an assault on a seriously injured man inside the arcade.
Paramedics with the London Ambulance Service also attended, finding Mr Haile suffering from serious injuries. Despite their best efforts to save Mr Haile, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Berhany appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday) and was remanded into custody.
He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday.
