Camden should restore this memorial plaque

02 July, 2020

Richard Everitt’s plaque has been removed

• I WOULD not be the only one who was almost in tears after reading the article about Richard Everitt (Teen stabbing victim memorial is removed, June 25).

I would like to tell his family I have not forgotten about him at all, though I moved into this area three years after his passing.

I remember seeing his memorial plaque and only recently wondered what had happened to it. As a mother of a son myself, I can imagine how devastating his death was, and still is, to his parents and family.

It is unfair that his life was cut so short and it is sad that the only thing I can do is to pray for him and his family as a Somers Town resident.

I would like Camden Council to restore the plaque immediately.
