Can you help track down family members?

20 November, 2020

• I AM trying to trace relatives of my grandfather, Simon Bacola.

Simon was born in Greece in 1910 and was bought to England soon after by his mother, Rebecca. They settled in Manchester and that is where Simon met my grandmother.

Sadly Simon did not play a big part in my father’s life. But he did write some letters to him in the 1980s and 1990s. In these letters he wrote of his search for his missing relatives, some of whom lived in London.

I have been continuing this search, and I am hoping that your readers can potentially help with this piece of my puzzle.

The names my grandfather wrote sadly do not include surnames, but they are: Jocelyn and her husband Andrew an archaeology lecturer.

Their children: daughter Colette a ballet dancer in Covent Garden, son Mitchell a doctor at Guy’s hospital and son Giles, a business director. Mitchell’s son Nathan.

If any of these names and professions ring any bells with any of your readers, or if anyone has any tips about how I could trace these people, please contact me via email at: rb26alexaipw@hotmail.com.

I would be eternally grateful.
