Cllr Roger Robinson deserves an apology

Councillor Roger Robinson
• WITH reference to the letter containing disgraceful remarks against Councillor Roger Robinson (Leaver Cllr Robinson owes us an apology, September 5), my family and I have known Cllr Robinson for the past 12 years as the most reliable, dedicated, honest and hard working councillor in Camden.
He works around the clock and is always willing to help everyone. He is never late for his meetings, and he dedicates his life to whomever he encounters with a great passion and cordiality.
He has an OBE, and is also a Disability Champion, helping a lot of people in Camden and elsewhere in the UK. His kindness and understanding for the disabled people means a great deal to him.
The person who sent such a vicious letter last week undermining him should apologise to him immediately.
As EU citizens, my family and I find the remarks made against Cllr Robinson – and his views regarding Brexit – are against his right to exercise and express his opinion, about the EU.
He has stated to me several times that even though he was voting for Brexit, he wanted some sort of a deal. Democracy should be there for all to express their feelings. Just check Cllr Robinson’s excellent record, working long hours since 1964 to serve the public.
My family and I have the most grateful respect for Roger Robinson, and he will be missed tremendously when he retires as a councillor.
