Coronavirus: Self-isolation rules have changed

PUBLIC INFORMATION PAGES FROM CAMDEN COUNCIL

19 August, 2021 — By Camden Council

PUBLIC INFORMATION PAGES FROM CAMDEN COUNCIL

Fully vaccinated adults and people under 18 identified as a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case by NHS Test and Trace no longer need to self-isolate.

However, you are still advised to take a free PCR test to check you’re COVID-free – you are not required to self-isolate while you wait for the test results.

Taking a test will help to stop the spread of the virus and keep each other safe.

If you test positive for COVID-19, you are still legally required to self-isolate for 10 days, regardless of your age or vaccination status. If you develop symptoms, however mild, please self-isolate and book a PCR test at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.

Support with self-isolating

Self-isolating can be difficult.

If you’re employed or self-employed, and currently receiving certain benefits or on a low income, you may be eligible for a one-off support payment of £500 to help make up for lost income. Find out more and apply at camden.gov.uk/supportpayment or call 020 7974 4444 (option 9).
