Dogs seem to get the blame for everything

25 October, 2019

• I READ your story on the poor swan that died on the Heath, (Family of Heath cygnets reduced to five after suspected dog attack, October 10).

You reported that it was all because of a “suspected” dog attack. Then you reported last week that cameras had shown there are badgers and hedgehogs on the Heath.

I doubt very much that a hedgehog could hurt a swan but could the real attacker have been a badger or a fox?

Dogs seem to get the blame for everything. Even the “dog muck” on the pavement. Could that have been left by a fox as well?
