Education facilities should stay in Somers Town

St Aloysius Primary School in Somers Town
• THE announcement by the government of a £14billion funding boost for England’s schools should be good news for schools in the borough of Camden, but what about St Aloysius Primary School in Somers Town which is due to close in December of this year?
Bearing in mind the facilities at the school have already been paid for with public money, it can only be hoped that a way can be found to keep the school open or to bring new educational uses for the two school sites in Phoenix Road and Aldenham Street.
There is such a great need for educational facilities and training for young people in our ward. Let’s act now to provide them.
