Former mayor says Camden’s pavements are ‘so dangerous’ after five falls

Roger Robinson says he has suffered 'real damage to my leg'

13 October, 2020

A FORMER mayor of Camden has said he has now fallen over five times on Camden’s pavements.

Labour councillor Roger Robinson told last night’s (Monday’s) full council meeting that money needed to be spent on jet-washing paving slabs to help the elderly and disabled get about.

“Why don’t Camden Council spend some money on doing some work on the paving stones and the streets?,” he said, joining the meeting by phone. “The streets now are so dangerous now for many of us that I have fallen down five times in four months, and it’s caused some real damage to my leg. We’ve got to do something about it very, very quickly – otherwise we’ll be in trouble.”
