Four months of disruption at Kentish Town due to escalator work
23 July, 2018
TUBE users face four months of disruption at Kentish Town as underground chiefs prepare to shut down one of the escalators for repair work.
The only access to trains at the Northern Line stop will be down a spiral staircase of 121 steps during the works, which begin next Monday and will run until “late November 2018”.
Transport for London said today (Monday) that passengers “may find it easier to make alternative travel plans rather than use Kentish Town station for northbound and southbound access to the Northern Line.”
The ‘up’ escalator will still be in use.
