Four teams in the frame for pool final

THERE are just four teams left vying for the right to get their hands on “the FA Cup” of Camden and Islington’s premier pool league.
King’s Cross Hurricanes, Golden Lion, Sir Robert Peel, and Cousins Elite all booked their place in the semi-finals of the Chalk Farm Pool League’s Liam Tarrant Cup on Monday night.
“It’s our FA Cup, and the competition that everyone wants to win,” said league chairman Shaun Pollard.
“The semi-finals take place on April 24 and the remaining four teams simply can’t wait.”
In the quarter-finals, King’s Cross Hurricanes just managed to see off a spirited King’s Cross Invaders side as they pocketed a 5-3 victory in the first-to-five-frames showdown.
Golden Lion and Sir Robert Peel both ran out 5-0 winners in their respective matches against King’s Cross Hawks and DOB Dynamos, while Islington’s Cousins Elite were 5-1 victors against Peckwater Playboys.
