GPs’ salaries don’t need topping up by paying them for administering jabs

‘Administering vaccines is part of a GPs job’

• WHAT – GPs are going to be paid to administer vaccines?

The north London practices all my friends and I are registered with have been hiding since the first lockdown. One can only have a phone appointment and wait a week or so for that.

We had no letters offering a flu jab this year, so I had to pester them to give us one. Surely seeing patients and administering vaccines is part of their jobs in keeping up to date and doing something in a pandemic?

The General Medical Council and the Royal College of General Practitioners need to wake up to the reality in the world around them. The doctors’ huge salaries and pensions do not need topping up in this way.
