I now feel unsafe living in this rabbit warren

15 June, 2017

• AS a resident of Elm Village, Camden Town, for five years I now feel unsafe living here.

In the last three weeks I alone have had to call the police four times and there seem to be daily incidents from the same group of people. I know I am not the only one feeling this way as I have friends in the area who share my concern.

The police have said we must call as much as possible when we see the group. I was not able to get through to the police one night. My husband felt he needed to go down himself and help this screaming young girl, who was only in her teens, as she had been hit by one of the group.

The police did arrive and I have to say they do come quickly. However because of the rabbit warren we live in, and barriers, it is easy for people to get away. I no longer feel safe walking down my own street which is such a shame.
