It’s always nice to have greenery around

20 June, 2019

• IT’S not difficult to spot the metal boxes, for they are painted a garish yellow and filled with plants and inscribed “Mayor of London”, at the entrance to the Whittington Hospital.

Only for the recent rain they would have died, for it didn’t look as if they had been watered. Now I notice some plants have been nicked.

It’s always nice to have greenery around so at least paint the boxes green and keep the plants watered. And keep the boxes clear of rubbish. Some people think they are litter bins for cigarette butts and soft drink cans.
