It’s looking bright at the Brunswick

08 November, 2018 — By John Gulliver

At the Brunswick Centre last night (Wednesday): Alice Hammond, event organiser; Madalena Alberto, the actress and singer from Les Misérables and Cats who switched on the lights and performed festive songs; and David Smith, asset manager for the centre

ONLINE shopping may be closing down high street shops but the “footfall” in the Brunswick Centre in Bloomsbury is up by 9 per cent.

I am not surprised as it’s a glitzy place for shops and eateries as well as having won design awards in the past.

The big party thrown at the Centre last night (Wednesday) for the Xmas lights ceremony sums up the philosophy of the owner Len Lazari who stands out as an entrepreneur who wants to “do something positive and be friends with the residents”.

He also has a sharp business acumen when you compare the centre to Oxford Street where “footfall” has fallen.
