A NINE year old boy has raised £1100 for NHS workers during the Covid crisis.
Kaleb Hanson, who lives in Studholme Court, off Finchley Road in
Hampstead, organised a Zoom meeting with fellow pupils at Eugene de Mazenod primary school.
He got them to send photos of their cakes, paintings, poems and Lego creations to encourage donations from parents to an online fundraiser.
Kaleb’s father Eddie Hanson – who is the chairman of Hampstead
District Management Committee (DMC), said: “Kaleb has always been a boy that has loads of ideas. He’s been concerned about Covid-19 and he wanted to do something.
“He was during lockdown writing letters to the PM about climate change, and all sorts of things – and he has been bugging us about
raising funds for the NHS.
“He chaired the meeting on Zoom and set up the page. The pictures have been shared on Twitter and with relatives asking them to donate. Kaleb really wanted to get a positive message out to others that all is not lost.”
