Man arrested over Camden Town suspected hit-and-run

A MAN has been arrested over a suspected hit-and-run in Camden Town.
Police were called to the scene opposite Camden Town Underground station on Wednesday evening just after 10pm to a car which crashed into a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his mid-50s, is in hospital in a critical but stable condition. The Met Police say his family have been informed.
The Met said the driver of the car involved failed to stop at the scene, but he attended a north London police station yesterday (Thursday).
The 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop and driving whilst over the prescribed limit. He was interviewed and released under investigation.
The vehicle believed to be involved in the incident, was found around a mile from the collision site and seized by officers.
