Man dies after being hit by bus in Camden Town
Police are appealing for witnesses

A PEDESTRIAN has died after being hit by a bus in Camden Town last night (Wednesday).
Emergency services were called to Camden Road to the collision just after 10pm.
A man, aged in his 50s, was found critically injured and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are in the process of informing his next of kin.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are continuing.
The driver of the Route 274 bus involved stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers are particularly keen to hear from passengers in the bus who may have seen what took place. The bus was almost full at the time of the incident.”
Claire Mann, Director of Bus Operations at TfL, said: “Our sympathies go out to the family and friends of a man who sadly died last night. The emergency services attended the scene and a full investigation with the bus operator Metroline is underway.
“The incident involved a route 274 bus near the junction of Camden Road and Camden Street at around 2200 yesterday evening. No death on our road network is acceptable or inevitable and we will do all that we can, as part of our Vision Zero strategy, to try to eliminate death and serious injury on our roads.”
