Man injured in car fire

19 January, 2018

A MAN was treated for shock and burns after a car fire in Barnsbury.

Two fire engines and 10 firefighters were called to the blaze in Offord Road after 16 999 calls were made to the London Fire Brigade on Tuesday at about 9.20am.

A gas cylinder was also “involved” in the fire, so crews cooled it down to stop any further damage. Paramedics treated a man for smoke inhalation, minor burns and shock.

Fire crews from Islington and Holloway fire stations attended and left at about 10.13am.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
