DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in the face with a pair a pliers in Camden Town.

Police were called to an altercation in Parkway at 7.25pm on Sunday where a victim in his 20s was found injured and taken by ambulance to hospital.

Two men arrested in the street were also taken for treatment and then moved on to a police station for questioning. Both were later released on bail.

Police are investigating a line of inquiry that the incident began in a greengrocers shop and spilled out into the street, before a man was stabbed in the face with pliers.

Detective Constable Dominic Brameld, the investigating officer, said: “There were lots of people in the area at the time of this incident and we understand some of the witnesses may have filmed the altercation on their mobile phones. We would urge anyone with footage to pass this onto the police so we can piece together what happened on Sunday evening.”
