May 11 demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian people
10 May, 2019
• IN the past few days Israel has bombed residential blocks in Gaza, killing pregnant women and children, with more than 27 people murdered since the bombardment began.
This comes as Eurovision is set to go ahead in Israel later this month, while US president Donald Trump and Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu plan to announce their so-called “peace plan” for the region.
The plan has been met with huge protest from the Palestinian people as the plan intends to liquidate the Palestinian cause entirely, to destroy the collective character of Palestinians as a people with collective rights to self-determination, and will expropriate the remainder of Palestinian land, including Jerusalem.
This Saturday May 11, people across the country are mobilising for a national demonstration in London to show solidarity with the Palestinian people. Israel can only continue killing with impunity and flagrantly ignoring international law when we are silent.
Join us – alongside trade unionists, students, health care workers, teachers, migrants, and many more – to stand with the Palestinian people and their continuing struggle for liberation, self-determination and return.
