National Express boosts airport connections for flyers

29 May, 2018

National Express is today boosting airport connections for flyers in preparation for sky-high demand for coach travel this summer.

From today (Monday, May 21) passengers travelling to Stansted Airport will be able to catch the National Express A8 service from three new stops at Kings Cross St Pancras, Farringdon and Hackney.

The additional stops will bring better transport connections and affordable airport travel to more people than ever.

To celebrate the introduction of the new stops, National Express is offering travellers fares to Stansted for the incredibly low price of just £3* available this week only, after which fares will start at £3.50.

With journey times from London to Stansted from 48 minutes**, a generous luggage allowance, guaranteed seats, free WiFi and services that depart every 30 minutes going right to the terminal door, the A8 service is a fantastically convenient way of reaching the airport.

National Express Coach Managing Director Chris Hardy said:

“We are delighted to be boosting our London to Stansted services today with increased connections, higher frequency services and a fantastic introductory fare offer meaning more people can access quick, easy and affordable transport to the airport.”

John Twigg Stansted Airport Planning Director said:

“We are very proud London Stansted already has the highest public transport use by passengers of any major UK airport, and we continually work with partners such as National Express to build on this market leading position. Today’s announcement is another step in the right direction, providing passengers with even more convenient and affordable connections from London, day or night, as well as boosting choice for arriving passengers heading to the capital.”

Helen Morris Essex County Council’s Head of Integrated Passenger Transport Unit said:

“It’s good to see Stansted Airport in partnership with National Express building on their deserved reputations for promoting sustainable travel.”
