The body of a man has been recovered from Highgate Men’s Pond today.

The popular bathing spot was shut on Saturday afternoon after reports of a missing person. Divers continued to trawl the pond in Hampstead Heath and today recovered the body of a man said to be in his mid 50s. The family have been informed.

The Met said the death is being dealt with as unexplained.
