Police search Queen’s Crescent for meat cleaver after man is admitted to hospital with stab wounds

POLICE are searching for a meat cleaver after a theft and stabbing near Queen’s Crescent today (Friday).
Officers cordoned off Rhyl Street following a tip-off that a large knife has been thrown out of a car window.
A man had been admitted to the Royal Free Hospital with minor stab injuries shortly after a reported theft in Queen’s Crescent. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
A Met spokesman said: “Police were called at 1.45pm after receiving a report of a theft on Queen’s Crescent. Officers attended but the suspect had left the scene.
He added: “Officers are carrying out searches of the area to locate the weapon and a cordon is in place.”
There have been no arrests.
