Romans had a word for it

‘Why doesn’t Camden hire some mobile loos which can be cleaned by street cleaners or volunteers?’
• IN Roman times toilets were widely available to citizens and soldiers, when they were known as necessariums. Today we have signs, or people, telling us that toilets are not in use.
The chances of infecting yourself in a modern toilet is minimal; as long as you take the usual measures concerning a face mask and hand hygiene.
Currently many groups are compromised over trips into town. These groups may include the elderly, the incontinent, mothers with babies, and the sick.
Instead of paying loads of money for all those barriers which have congested traffic and increased pollution, why doesn’t Camden hire some mobile loos which can be cleaned by street cleaners or volunteers?
