POLICE divers were yesterday (Wednesday) continuing their search of a pond on Hampstead Heath in relation to a man’s disappearance in 2013.

Robert Duff, from Kentish Town, was 37 when he was last seen, and detectives are now treating the case as a murder inquiry.

His daughters, Stephanie and Charlotte, have been watching the trawl of the pond, which began last week, and appealed to anybody with any information to come forward.

The alarm was raised when Mr Duff did not turn up for a family birthday party but it was considered a missing persons search until 2018 when a tip-off was received. Two men were arrested in Archway but were released after questioning.

Detective Inspector Tom Williams said: “If you can help, please do the right thing and give Robert’s family the closure they deserve.”
