• I AM a youth referral co-ordinator for #CamdenAgainstViolence. My role is to support young people into work / training or continue with education.

So far our success rate is good. I work alongside families and other partners to reduce young people’s vulnerability to deter them from a life of crime and joining gangs.

We also forward referrals to agencies such as CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services), young adult services and whole family-centred services to prevent family break-downs, thus again reducing vulnerability and susceptibility.

As you all know we have a very high rate of knife-related incidents which unfortunately does include murder. Too many murders.

Although my team and I work tirelessly to help raise awareness of these issues, it’s our government that needs to look at these issues closely to work with grass-roots projects such as ourselves and support it not ignore it.

We have started a petition on called SAVE OUR YOUNG PEOPLE.

There are over 200,000 residents in Camden. This is where you come in. In order to demand change, we need you to go to and sign and share.

Please let us reach at least 10,000 to get a written response or even better a 100,000 to get this topic spoken about in the House of Commons. Then they cannot ignore it.

There is more to Camden than what we are portrayed for. There are multi-million pound businesses here, some of the most expensive houses in the capital, beautiful parks and of course, our lovely residents.

We can do this. We need your help to do so. If you’re not sure about us please check us out on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
