Sir Keir’s own CLP is hostile to the left
17 January, 2020
• I AM a Labour member in Sir Keir Starmer’s constituency, having joined when Jeremy Corbyn became leader.
The constituency party meetings I have attended over that time have been very unpleasant experiences. The atmosphere is very hostile and often aggressive to anyone seen as on the left.
There is not a single left-wing representative on any of the constituency committees and any attempts to open up a dialogue have failed.
Sir Keir clearly favours the dominant right and has made no effort to unify the CLP. This leads me to wonder why he is so confident in his claims that he can unite the divided Labour Party when he has signally failed to unify his own constituency?
