SPURS will head to Watford full of confidence on Sunday.
On the pitch Mauricio Pochettino’s men have enjoyed three victories out of three, while off it three crucial players who had been linked with a move away from the club are now ready to stay. Toby Alderweireld, who was frozen out of the team last term, has now started two games on the spin, while Danny Rose showed the manager he is ready to stay and fight for his place during Monday’s empathic 3-0 win at Manchester United.
Mousa Dembele also shone in the victory at Old Trafford, scotching fears over his ability to last the course in physical games. Meanwhile, rumours are swirling regarding the future of Moussa Sissoko, who was left out of the Tottenham squad on Monday.
The French midfielder, who has failed to win over the Spurs fans since joining from Newcastle two years ago, has been linked with a £17million switch to Fenerbahçe. The Turkish club have, however, distanced themselves from any speculation, insisting in a statement that “there has been no contact with the player, the manager, or the club”.
