Stop using dangerous plastic signs

‘Stop using sharp plastic parking suspension notices’

• CAMDEN Council still persists in using hard, sharp plastic for their yellow parking suspension notices, despite the danger they present.

The notices are usually fixed at head height where they can cause serious eye injury; recently notices have been fixed at children’s eye height. These notices in Mill Lane (pictured above) are just yards away from a busy school entrance.

It is time Camden’s health and safety team became involved. A quick, simple, way to make notices safer would be to have rounded corners, as it is the corners that cause injuries.

An even safer alternative would be to use paper notices enclosed in plastic, waterproof, sleeves. These would certainly reduce the risk of injuries.
