Talented youngsters back in action as the youth football season kicks off

Camden Elite Under-12s beat Camden Youth 3-1 on Saturday

THE wait is finally over, with scores of talented young footballers from across Camden and Islington returning to action at the weekend.

Among the triumphant teams celebrating an opening day victory were Camden Elite. The Under-12s side looked sharp and ready to chase silverware as they beat Camden Youth in the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League on Saturday morning.

Striker Kieran Collymore bagged a brace, while midfielder Silvian de Almeida also found the back of the net as Elite ran out 3-1 victors.

London Soccer Stars in action against Queen’s Park Sharks

The Camden and Regent’s Park Girls’ Youth League also kicked off in spectacular style on Saturday as Queen’s Park Sharks beat London Soccer Stars 3-2 in a five-goal thriller in the Under-12s age group.

The league will be organising weekly games in both the Under-12s and Under-14s age groups. Any teams or individual players interested in joining should email for details.
