VIOLINIST Tamsin Waley-Cohen, a West Hampstead resident, is well on her way to becoming one of the world’s front-rank violinists.
She’s been selected as one of this year’s ECHO Rising Stars, a most prestigious scheme run by the European Concert Hall Organisation since 1995.
Each year, a group of outstanding musicians is selected to become ECHO Rising Stars. They receive professional development support and perform a concert tour across the halls of the ECHO network. The scheme has helped to shape the musical careers of many of today’s world-class artists.
Next Tuesday, she’s playing in an ECHO Rising Stars Double Bill alongside pianist Christopher Park at Milton Court, Barbican. She’s playing sonatas by Mozart and Poulenc and Oliver Knussen’s Reflection for violin and piano.
