The Apprentices, you’re hired!

14 February, 2020

CAMDEN’S best apprentices were awarded certificates at a special event celebrating their route into the world of work. A ceremony was held at Warner Brothers’ offices in Holborn on Friday to mark the work of employers who had given apprentices a chance, and those who had taken part in the scheme. The staff were taken on in new professions after being recruited through the Camden Apprentices Service and the King’s Cross Construction Skills Centre. Cabinet councillor Abdul Hai said: “Our Camden apprentices represent our diverse future workforce.” Priya Paul, winner of the “Most Reliable Apprentice” gong, said she had switched fields from childcare to an insurance team at the Town Hall. “I have learnt so much, and I am so glad that I decided to take the risk and change my career,” she said.
