The Brunswick Hosts A Fabulous FREE Family Event!

19 March, 2019

The Brunswick Shopping Centre, opposite Russell Square tube station, is thrilled at the success of the first of a planned series of FREE kids’ events in Bloomsbury with incredible numbers turning out to enjoy their ‘Go Superheroes’ event.

The Superhero themed extravaganza took place from 11am – 3pm on Saturday 16th March 2019 and saw two of the centre’s vacant units transformed into vibrant, colourful, fun-filled party zones with lots of FREE activities for kids to enjoy.

There were giant statues of Hulk, Batman, Spider-man and Iron Man, adorning the centre for the little ones to strike a pose with and young guests were enthralled and entertained by 11 performers from The Platinum Performing Arts Dance School.

The dancers put on four performances, inspired by “The Incredibles” and “Frozo” throughout the afternoon all dressed as superheroes.

Wannabe crusaders also enjoyed the opportunity to meet their superheroes between shows and pose for photos to create a lasting memento of the day.

London-based children’s entertainers ‘Fun at Kids Party’ hosted general fun and games between the dance performances – complete with laser machines, bubble machines, foam machines, magic tricks and prizes that were up for grabs.

With Phil on the decks, pumping out the high energy tunes, Vicky entertaining the little ones with amazing puppet shows, plate spinning, balloon modelling and comedy throughout the afternoon and the superheroes joining in the fun, it was an absolute blast!

It was a fantastic afternoon of super-charged superhero fun, where the kids came (many in fancy dress) to let off some steam, completely FREE of charge – an ideal way to spend time with the family on this particularly cold and blustery March weekend.

David Plumb, Centre Manager at The Brunswick says, “We’re thrilled at the success of our Superhero Spectacular! It’s the first time we’ve put on an event specifically for children and it’s an area we’re certainly looking to expand upon throughout the year, so it’s great that we had such a fabulous turnout this time and that everyone enjoyed themselves so much!”

John Themis, Event Manager says, “The first of our ‘Brunswickids events was an incredible success! We were overwhelmed at the effort all the little superheroes went to with their costumes and absolutely thrilled that everyone had so much fun – we can’t wait for our next event which is ‘Go Bollywood’ on 30th March and once again, completely FREE for everyone to enjoy!”
