There’s a difference between a majority and a minority…

‘Just as in 2016, 49 per cent does not a majority make’

• ISLINGTON In Europe, surely a statement of the obvious, draw comfort from an opinion poll published in the Observer(A duty to call out this government, July 31).

Maybe it escaped notice that the poll revealed that a minority believe there was Russian interference in the 2016 referendum. Just as in 2016, 49 per cent does not a majority make.

Stronger Together blazed a trail for MP Chris Grayling to follow when they lost a rigged vote. It is time now to take up the cause of joining the EU and make fact-based arguments for so doing.

Something tells me they won’t bother.
