Time for action on pavements, surely

13 December, 2018

• IN the spring I drew the attention of a prominent Labour friend to the poor condition of the pavements close to Camden Town station.

Sure enough, in early May paint markings appeared on broken slabs in the area. The problem is that seven months later many of these markings have been washed away, and some replaced. Time for action?

But these problems are trivial compared with the dangerous condition of the slabs adjoining the car park at the back of Sainsbury’s in Camden Road. How long before someone sustains a serious industry?
