Time running out for an Irish trade agreement

18 May, 2018

• THE Republic of Ireland is a member of the European Union and has its own government. The Irish army is a member of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force. They declared independence in 1922 after defeating the British in 1916.

The UK government is leaving the European Union, the Customs Union and the Single Market. There is no way you can get a trade agreement with the Irish Republic. It just won’t happen.

They have had plenty of time to deal with this problem. Up to now nothing constructive has been done.
