Title-chasing Night Walkers to face stablemates test

TITLE challengers Cousins Night Walkers will take to the table against literally their closest rivals on Monday night when they return to action in the Chalk Farm Pool League.

The Division Two side will start their 2019 fixtures against stablemates Cousins Zombies at the venue they share in Holloway, Islington. Having been handed a break in the way of a bye in the opening round of games on Monday, the pressure is now on the Night Walkers to chalk up a victory.

That’s because league leaders the Green Man started their new year with a commanding 6-3 victory over struggling Slatterys to extend their advantage at the top of the table.

The Golden Lion also showed their title credentials by beating Boston Rimmers 6-3 to leapfrog the Night Walkers and roar into second place.

Top potter Mohamed Maklouf and his teammates must now respond by avoiding a horror show against the Zombies at Cousins Snooker and Pool Club and getting the points they need to drag themselves back into the title race.
