LEARNER SERVICES ADMINISTRATOR AT WMC

WMC – The Camden College is currently looking to recruit an administrator with customer focus experience, which would preferably be within an education-based information advice and guidance environment.

You will be the initial face of the College that all enquiries see; playing a vital role in the recruitment of learners to our courses.

You will accurately respond to and process course and pre-course assessment queries and enrolments, providing advice and guidance to prospective learners; as well as supporting the College by participating in a range of recruitment events, both on and off-site.

Applicants should be articulate and motivated, with excellent communication, IT and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload under time constraints.

As an adult education college, we are open in the evenings and on Saturdays, please note the hours during the week will include working evenings and some Saturdays.

The post involves working with young people and vulnerable adults and consequently is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Situated in Camden, we are at the heart of one of the most culturally exciting, diverse and dynamic London boroughs and help to transform adult lives through education.

We offer a wide curriculum from our two main sites at Crowndale Road and Kentish Town and is seeing significant growth in our community-based courses across the borough.

Working as part of the Learner Services team you will be the initial face of the College; you will see everyone from potential learners, current learners, staff and visitors. You will also to be communicating on the telephone and via email giving information about the wide range of courses on offer. The College is therefore looking for be articulate and motivated, with excellent communication, IT and interpersonal skills with a view to providing outstanding customer care.

The Learner Services Administrators provide a vital role in ensuring that all learners know what courses are available and enrolling them into the right class. This takes a great deal of tact and diplomacy as we need to make sure that we find out about learners’ financial status so we can apply discounts and free courses where we can.

The team deal with enquiries about how the college works, so you will know everything from what time the Library opens to how learners get support with their learning.

Accuracy and being able to work with data is very important as this ensures the College gets funding and that learner records are correct and up to date.

Shift work is involved as the college serves the location community until late Monday to Thursday and is open every Saturday at Crowndale Road. We have another site at Kentish Town where the team are also required to work.

The team support the range of events, such as Open Days, that are planned throughout the academic year
