Sidings Community Centre is recruiting for 3 temporary posts:

1) Early Years Deputy Co-ordinator (temporary maternity cover post)
Start date October 17 until end August 2018
Applicants must have proven experience of working within a registered Early Years Childcare or Educational setting, minimum of NVQ3 or higher qualification relevant to working in Early Years, strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS), comprehensive knowledge of Safeguarding for young children, & demonstrate the ability to take a lead role within a multi-disciplinary team.

Good IT & admin/organisational skills essential. Salary: £27,300 pa – full-time 37.5 hours per week (October to end Aug 2018)


Early Years Special Needs Assistant (Temporary post Oct – Dec 2017).

Post may be extended according to funding available. Applicants will need a minimum of NVQ2 qualification in Early Years related work, knowledge of Safeguarding for young children, understanding of EYFS, and some previous experience of working in a registered Early Years Childcare setting.

They will offer support and assistance to children with additional or special needs within our childcare service.
Hours: 30 hours per week (term-time) @ £10 per hour 9am – 3pm. Post may be extended according to funding available.

Youth Co-ordinator & Development Worker for Sidings Youth Project (SYP) (temporary post – October 2017 to end July 2018)
We are looking for a dynamic person who will develop and co-ordinate our programme of activities for young people aged 11 – 19 years.

Applicants must have a qualification in youth work or related relevant qualification, and proven experience of working in a youth work setting.

They should have particular skills in coaching & mentoring, project & partnership development, some experience in fundraising, good IT skills, and an understanding of delivering an “outcomes-based” youth work programme.

Salary: £27,000 pa – pro rata for 21 hours per week which includes some evening work (start date asap in Oct until end July 2018). Post may be extended according to funding available.
