THE transfer window is open and it could be the last time Arsene Wenger has the chance to save his Arsenal legacy.
Instead of buying cheap tat, the penny-pinching Frenchman needs to snap up a midfield general with real match-winning quality, or net a striker who doesn’t waste valuable time celebrating his goal with his team still needing a winner. (Giroud, you know who we’re talking about.)
Tuesday night’s Bournemouth battle proved the Gunners won’t win the Premier League again until they invest in the right areas – starting, clearly, with the managerial hot-seat.
If the club offers Wenger a new contract when his current deal expires in the summer, the board is yet again saying it’s ok to be 3-0 down against Bournemouth, or to lose matches against struggling teams like Man City and Everton.
Wenger, sort yourself out! Bid for William Carvalho or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Or at least sign referee Mike Dean. Judging by his decisions in West Ham’s defeat by Man United he’s got all the skills to change the outcome of any game!
